Hello. My name is Kim and welcome to my website. StemDecor came about a bit by accident back in 2004. While planning my own wedding, I searched and searched the internet for wedding favors that met 4 criteria. It had to be something affordable, something that was somehow tied to our colors or theme, something unique or personalized, and most important, something that could actually be used, and would not be thrown away. This severely limited my options to the point that I realized if I wanted something that worked AND that I really loved, I'd have to make it myself! What could I send home with each guest, that could be a personalized reminder of my wedding day, but still something useful in their homes. It was then that I realized that wine glass charms were making quite a splash, and being the crafty chicklette that I am, I could make them, and make them GREAT!
Wineglass markers are prevalent enough that I felt one simple, beautiful wine glass marker for each of our guests could easily be incorporated into their own sets at home, and it would serve as a simple reminder of our wedding day, without being too conspicuous. Then, while experiencing some instability in my own job market, it occurred to me that there may be thousands of other brides out there that are also looking for something new and a little different for their own guests. And even when wine glass charms have saturated the market… weddings and special occasions will always come and go in all our lives. So after a few weeks of brainstorming with my Fiancé and friends….StemDecor was born!!
I have had lots of fun building and expanding my business over the years. I love when it's time to bring in new themes, and trying to come up with something different than all else that is out there. I most enjoy custom orders though! Making a keepsake for a bridal shower in matching colors, or creating a theme to match the bride and grooms personalities for all their guests to enjoy is what I set out to do, and what makes my hobby most enjoyable. I've been surprised with orders for hundreds of sets of charms from large companies for their holiday parties, to students wanting custom sets to sell as part of a fundraising opportunity. I take much pride in the quality of my work and the materials that go into StemDecor Wine charms and I hope it shows.
